DAY 1

Bhaktapur Sightseeing, Nagarkot Sunset.

09:00 AM

At. 10:00 AM: You will be picked up from the spot you specified for your sightseeing. It will be a half day of sightseeing around Bhaktapur Durbar Square and further towards Nagarkot.

At. 11:00 AM: As you reach Bhaktapur Durbar Square, explore around the square and appreciate the unique historical and cultural heritage of the square. Visit other highlights such as Nyatapola Temple, 55 Window Palace, Siddha Pokhari, and more. You will have various restaurants suitable for you to have your lunch at. You can have your lunch around the square, which provides a variety of restaurants and eateries with authentic Newari cuisines and other national/continental cuisines catering to your needs. 

Note: An hour will be given for your lunch; you can have it according to your timing and location preferences. 

At. 03:30 PM: Once your sightseeing in Bhaktapur is complete, you will drive towards Nagarkot, which is about 12 km east of Bhaktapur and takes half an hour to drive. Get ready to escape the hustle and bustle of the city areas. There, you will visit the viewpoint to enjoy the sunset over the Himalayas. 

At 06:00 PM: Once you finish, you will be dropped off back in Kathmandu at the location mentioned. 

Additional activity: If you want, you can also visit Changu Narayan Temple, which is about 4 km from the square. In the temple, you can pay your respect to Lord Vishnu, marvel at the artistic features of the temple, and also enjoy the natural environment of the temple. You have to pay an entrance fee to visit this temple.

Bhaktapur, also known as Khwopa, is approximately 13 km east of Kathmandu. The major highlights of Bhaktapur Durbar Square include Nyatapola Temple, 55-Window Palace, Golden Temple, and Dattatreya Temple, demonstrating the artistic and architectural talent of the Malla era. The Pokharis, such as Siddha Pokhari, Napukhu, and Kamalpokhari, add charm to this site. Moreover, it is famous for its pottery and handicrafts, and the surrounding area of the durbar soiree is dotted with local shops selling traditional pottery, wood carvings, and handicrafts.

Nagarkot is a scenic town located about 30 kilometres east of Kathmandu. It is famous for breathtaking sunrises and sunrise views over the panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest and other significant mountains such as Langtang, Ganesh, and Gaurishanker.
