Kathmandu, the capital, is one of the most beautiful places to explore. It is culturally rich and boasts many temples in its territory. This city is known as a city of temples because it is said that in every hundred-meter circumference you take, there is at least one temple. The beauty of this city is articulated by the cultural and historical attractions. While the temples and historical monuments are the primary attractions of the city, there are many other things that you can explore in Kathmandu.

On this 7 days Nepal tour package, you will be visiting the most prominent Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. These temples are known for their amazing Hindu and Buddhism religious and spiritual significance. After visiting the capital, you will travel to another beautiful place Pokhara. 

Pokhara, also known as the adventure hub of Nepal, is one of the most beautiful places to visit. The spectacular Himalayas, lakes and adventurous activities have shaped this city into an incredible place. The Fewa Lake, Tal Barahi Temple, David’s fall, Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, Seti George, and Bindabasini Temple are some of the major places that you will be exploring on this trip. And the most fascinating sunrise from Sarangkot is also a major attraction of the trip.  

In addition, after visiting Kathmandu and Pokhara, you will visit Nagarkot. A drive from Pokhara via Kathmandu will take you to this beautiful hill station of Nepal. It is known for the incredible Himalayan views and several other attractions around the place. The leisure of Nagarkot is further accompanied by Bhaktapur and Patan sightseeing. Both of these Durbar Squares carry a medieval history of Nepal.

DAY 1

Kathmandu Arrival.

Your Arrival Time: (?) Our representative will meet and greet you at Kathmandu Airport and transfer you to your hotel.

At. 06:00 PM: A short briefing about your tour program by us at the hotel. If you are arriving late (after 4 PM) then we will have a briefing next morning at 09:00 AM. If there is any payment due, then it will be collected during the briefing time.

DAY 2

Kathmandu Sightseeing. (Full Day)

At. 10:00 AM: After your breakfast, you will visit for a full day sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath stupa, Swayambhunath and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Once you complete your sightseeing, we will drop you back at your hotel.

Pashupatinath temple is the largest and holiest shrine for Hindus. This temple, situated on the bank of the Bagmati River was built in the 5th century There are around 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva) and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines) to explore. No entrance fee is charged for SAARC nationals to enter the temple. Although only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed on the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river.

Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. It is the central hub of Buddhism in Nepal which is surrounded by hundreds of monasteries. Lichchavi rulers renovated the staple during the 8th century, which was made in the shape of a Mandala.

Swayambhunath is one of the most glorious, holiest and oldest Stupa in the world. It is located on a small hillock in west Kathmandu hence commanding an excellent view of the valley. The stupa was built in 460 A.D. by King Manadeva, and is also known by the name "Monkey Temple".

Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the three Durbar Squares of Kathmandu Valley. The Malla king Pratap Malla erected the statue of Hanuman (the Hindu god of power) in this place and it was named Hanuman Dhoka. Taleju Temple, Tribhuvan Museum, the house of Kumari (Living Goddess), Kasthamandap, the temple of Kal Bhairav along with few other temples are some places to explore.

DAY 3

Drive to Pokhara.

At. 08:00 AM: After breakfast, start driving to Pokhara (Approx. 6-8 hours of driving). On the way, you can visit the Manakamana temple by cable car. Also, you can experience river rafting on the Trishuli river.

Optional Activity: The cost of the Manakamana cable car is not included in the package (INR 550 Per person for the two-way ride)

Manakamana Temple, a 10 minutes cable car ride from a station called Kurintar takes you to the temple of Goddess Manakamana who is believed to have the power to fulfill wishes. Kurintar is 104 km away from Kathmandu to Pokhara.

DAY 4

Sarangkot Sunrise, Pokhara Sightseeing.

At. 04:30 AM: Early in the morning, visit Sarangkot, and experience the panoramic view of the Himalayas and the beautiful sunrise from the hilltop. 

At. 10:00 AM: After having your breakfast at the hotel you will get a certain time for optional activities in Pokhara. If you are not interested in any activities then you will go for half-day sightseeing to David’s Fall, Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, Seti George, Bindabasini Temple, Barahi Temple and Phewa Lake. Besides that, you can enjoy a boat ride at Phewa Lake in the evening or in the early morning.

Sarangkot is a place from where a mind-blowing view of sunrise and sunset over the mountains can be seen. One of the famous Peace Pagoda is another attraction nearby Sarangkot, lying on the top of the opposite hill. Sarangkot is the viewpoint of Pokhara valley from where one can enjoy paragliding and zip flyers.

David's falls is an amazing waterfall in Pokhara Valley which is nearly 500 feet long and runs 100 feet below ground level. It is also known as Patale Chhango which means the underwater world. According to local old people, On 31st July 1961, a swiss couple Davi went swimming but the woman drowned in a pit. Since that day the place is known as David's falls.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, one of the longest caves in Nepal is nearly 3km long. There are some walls dripping water inside  the cave and about 40m in, we can see the statue of Lord Shiva. Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is near David's falls.

Bindhyabasini temple is situated on the hilltop and 3000m from sea level. This religious place of Hindus living in the Pokhara region is devoted to the goddess Durga. Goddess Durga which is also known as Kali Mata is the symbol of a bloodthirsty  goddess. Many people come here to worship and sacrifice animals.

Beautiful Lake Phewa is the second largest lake in Nepal. It covers an area of about 4.43 sq km with an average depth of about 8.6m, maximum water depth is 19m.  The reflection of Mount Annapurna can be seen on Phewa lake. Another attraction of this lake is Barahi Temple made in pagoda style, which is an island in the middle of Phewa lake.

DAY 5

Drive to Nagarkot via Kathmandu.

At. 08:00 AM: After breakfast, drive back to Nagarkot via Kathmandu. Nagarkot is 30 KM east from Kathmandu, you may take about 7-8 hours to reach from Pokhara. 

At. 05:30 AM: View sunset from your hotel. We hope you will enjoy a peaceful stay in Nagarkot.

DAY 6

Bhaktapur and Patan Sightseeing.

At. 10:00 AM: After breakfast, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. Free time to do shopping around the Thamel area in the Evening.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square which is also known as Bhadgaon has 4 major squares: Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square. Some of the major attractions are Lu Dhoka (The Golden Gate)” which is said to be the most beautiful and richly moulded specimen of its kind in the entire world, The Palace of 55 windows and Dattatraye Temple along with some other small temples.

Patan Durbar Square is 5 km southeast of Kathmandu. Major temples are Krishna Temple, Taleju Temple and Bhimsen Temple. Some places to explore there are Patan Museum, Mahaboudha, Kumbeshwor, Keshave Naryan, Vishwanath & Chyasin Dewal and Sundari Chowk. Banglamukhi is one of the famous temples of Devi (Goddess) in Kathmandu. The temple of Baglamukhi is situated in Patan (Lalitpur). There are various other small temples inside the Baglamukhi temple premises. People visit this temple mainly on Thursdays as it is considered the day of Bhagwati.

DAY 7

Transfer to Airport.
