Cultural and Religious Exploration

Nepal, being a multiethnic, multicultural, multilingual, and multireligious country, presents diverse heritage sites in accordance with its location, rich history, art, architecture, and the skills of the talented artisans in it. The cultural and religious sites explored in this tour encompass the major sites of Kathmandu, Pokhara, and Lumbini itself. This city is the perfect example of how traditional shrines perfectly blend with modern buildings and lifestyles.

Next, in Pokhara, you will find a religious atmosphere amidst the natural environment, where temples like Bindhyabasini Temple, Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, and Taal Barahi Temple are sacred Hindu sites. Following that are the shrines presenting religious significance atop a hill, the World Peace Pagoda, and the Pumdikot Shiva Statue, while also offering a panoramic view of the surrounding area. Traversing you towards the Terai region, Lumbini, you will find solace and spirituality through this historic birthplace of Gautam Buddha. As you visit the major areas such as Maya Devi Temple, Ashoka Pillar, the Japanese stupa, and the Chinese stupa, you can’t help but appreciate the architectural and ancient beauty of this site. Along your drive from one destination to another, you’ll encounter picturesque countryside, terraced fields, and lush valleys against the backdrop of the majestic Himalayas. Even though Kathmandu Valley is surrounded by hills and outskirts such as Shivapuri National Park and Nagarkot, the emphasis on natural aspects on your tour is on Pokhara and Chitwan. The crystal-clear Phewa Lake reflecting the Himalayas- that’s Pokhara waiting to welcome you. As the serene boat rides on Phewa Lake in Pokhara offer moments of tranquility, early in the morning you will find yourself waiting for the enchanting sunrise at Sarangkot to cast a golden glow upon the Annapurna range. After your sightseeing, you will be escorted back to your hotel. In the evening, you can explore the city on your own, relax in the lakeside vibe, and have a delicious dinner accompanied by the night view of the lake.

Davis Falls, also known as Patale Chhango, is an amazing waterfall in Pokhara Valley that is nearly 500 feet long and runs 100 feet below ground level. According to local old people, on July 31, 1961, a Swiss couple named Davi went swimming, but the woman drowned in a pit. From that day on, the place was known as Davis Falls.

Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, one of the longest caves in Nepal, is nearly 3 km long. There are some walls dripping water inside the cave, and about 40 metres in, you can see the statue of Lord Shiva. At the end of the cave, you will be mesmerised by the Davis Falls cutting through the cave.
