Kailash Yatra Significance for Indians

The Indian pilgrims are often characterized by their diverse religious and cultural traditions, where a pilgrimage is an act of devotion and spiritual seeking to express faith and fulfill vows. The pilgrimage is generally done on foot to test endurance and display the act of faith. So, being one of the most revered pilgrimages in the world, the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra holds a profound spiritual, cultural, and religious significance for Indians.

Since the majority of Indians follow Hinduism, they consider Mount Kailash as the abode of Lord Shiva, who is one of the three primordial deities in Hinduism. And the nearby Mansarovar Lake is considered sacred water believed to have been created by the mind of Lord Brahma. The Hindus have a strong belief that bathing in the holy water of the Mansarovar and circumambulating around Mount Kailash cleanses one's soul, frees one from their sins and paves the way for eternal peace and salvation. This once-in-a-lifetime opportunity is deeply cherished by the devotees around the world, allowing one to connect with the divine energy associated with Mount Kailash and Lake Mansarovar.

As an individual, this strenuous journey is also a testament to human endurance and devotion. The Yatra, with its challenging terrain, takes one to the elevation as high as 5600 m, which is at Dolma la Pass. The completion of the yatra while navigating all these challenges symbolizes the pilgrim's determination and capability. Additionally, as this tour is a group-joining tour, pilgrims not only get to experience the religious journey but also get to engage with other pilgrims from diverse backgrounds, which fosters a sense of unity and shared spiritual fulfillment.

Major attractions of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra

As you will be travelling through Nepal, your opening phase of the yatra will be from Kathmandu, the capital city of Nepal. You will spend a day in Kathmandu sightseeing major pilgrimage sites. These include Pashupatinath, the mighty temple dedicated to Lord Shiva; Guhyeshwari Temple, one of the Shakti peethas; Jal Narayan Temple at the base of Shivapuri Peak, dedicated to Lord Vishnu; and Baglamukhi Temple, dedicated to Devi. All the heritage sites are Hindu pilgrimage sites dedicated to various deities. Apart from that, the exploration at Patan Durbar Square displays the cultural and historical aspects. Here, you can witness the finest art and architecture of the Malla period.

Once you cross the border, you are welcomed by the divine beauty of Tibet, including culture, nature, and spiritual connection. You will be gasped by the beauty of Lake Mansarovar as you explore. If possible, you will also visit Chiu Monastery, which is located on a hill overlooking Lake Mansarovar. From here onwards, you will start seeing the magnificent Mount Kailash, the holy abode of Lord Shiva. Along the way, different faces of the mountain can be seen; east, west, north, and south from different places that have a meaning of their own. The ultimate highlight of the journey is obviously the Kailash Parikrama, encompassing spiritual, cultural, and natural significance, creating a lasting impact on the pilgrims.

Why Kailash Yatra by Helicopter?

One can do the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra in two different ways, either by air or by road. The road journey takes around 14 days via the Kyirong border; meanwhile, air transport via Hilsa makes the yatra possible in 11 days. Taking a helicopter ride is like killing two birds with one stone; it helps you to save your time and avoid the fatigue from the lengthy drive, allowing you to reserve the physical and mental energy for the more spiritual segments of the yatra that is the Parikrama around Mount Kailash.

While the helicopter ride does not cover the entire journey, by flying directly to Hilsa, pilgrims bypass the time-consuming travel through the other routes. This helicopter service is especially beneficial for elderly pilgrims or those with physical limitations who might struggle with the long drive. Sometimes, one might not be in a good condition to do the parikrama due to high altitudes. One can simply take a heli flight and drive to Yama Dwar only, which is also a great feat for the pilgrims. By reducing the travel time to this point, it makes the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra accessible to the wider range of devotees.

Our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra by Helicopter offers a convenient and spiritually enriching way to undertake this sacred journey. With carefully planned itineraries, professional support, and awe-inspiring views, this package blends the pilgrimage sightseeing in Kathmandu and the spiritual journey in Tibet. By significantly reducing the travel time, this helicopter package allows participants to focus on their spiritual journey while ensuring safety and accessibility. Don’t miss out on this rare chance to participate to make your dream pilgrimage a reality with us.
