This 9 days Nepal tour package is a plan for your ultimate leisure, adventure and pilgrimage. It blends some of the most beautiful places such as Kathmandu, Pokhara, Chitwan and Nagarkot. All of these places are naturally, culturally and historically rich. Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal is a cultural place that offers amazing religious and traditional attributes. The temples, stupas and monuments have shaped this city as a cultural city of Nepal. In Kathmandu, you will be visiting some of the major temples such as Pashupatinath, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square.
After visiting the Kathmandu valley, you will be travelling to Pokhara, which is about 210 Km away from the capital. Pokhara is the adventure hub of Nepal. There are many adventurous activities such as Paragliding, Bungee Jumping, Zip flyer, Ultralight flight in Pokhara, boating, hiking, trekking, mountain biking etc. to explore in Pokhara valley. Beautiful places such as Fewa lake, David’s fall, Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, Seti George, Bindabasini Temple, and Barahi Temple. Exploring Pokhara is surreal as you can witness the majestic Himalayan views and sceneries from the nearby hill stations and the city itself.
Another major place, that you will be visiting on this trip is Chitwan. Chitwan is a place that is known for the wonderful UNESCO-listed Chitwan National Park. The Tharu culture is prevalent in Chitwan and you will be exploring the cultural dances, Tharu museums and their lifestyle depicting village tours. A visit to the elephant breeding centre and crocodile breeding centre provides insights into the wild habitat. Further, the jungle safari, canoe ride, and jungle walk make the trip more fascinating.
Nagarkot is another major place that offers incredible sunrise and sunset views besides the astonishing Himalayas stretched on the horizon. After visiting Nagarkot, you can explore the Bhaktapur and Patan Durbar Square. Both of these Durbar Squares are best preserved in their ancient form and UNESCO has enlisted them as a place of greatest cultural significance.
Your Arrival Time: (?) Our representative will meet and greet you at Kathmandu Airport and transfer you to your hotel.
At. 06:00 PM: A short briefing about your tour program by us at the hotel. If you are arriving late (after 4 PM) then we will have a briefing next morning at 09:00 AM. If there is any payment due, then it will be collected during the briefing time.
At. 10:00 AM: After your breakfast, you will visit for a full day sightseeing of Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa, Swayambhunath Stupa and Kathmandu Durbar Square. Once you complete your sightseeing, we will drop you back at your hotel.
Optional Activity: Everest Mountain Flight at 06:00 AM from Kathmandu airport to Kathmandu Airport. (INR 10,500 Per Person)
Pashupatinath temple is the largest and holiest shrine for Hindus. This temple, situated on the bank of the Bagmati River was built in the 5th century There are around 492 temples, 15 Shivalayas (shrines of Lord Shiva) and 12 Jyotirlinga (phallic shrines) to explore. No entrance fee is charged for SAARC nationals to enter the temple. Although only Hindus are allowed to enter the temple, visitors can clearly see the temple and the activities performed on the temple premises from the eastern bank of the Bagmati river.
Boudhanath is one of the largest stupas in South Asia. It is the central hub of Buddhism in Nepal which is surrounded by hundreds of monasteries. Lichchavi rulers renovated the staple during the 8th century, which was made in the shape of a Mandala.
Swayambhunath is one of the most glorious, holiest and oldest Stupa in the world. It is located on a small hillock in west Kathmandu hence commanding an excellent view of the valley. The stupa was built in 460 A.D. by King Manadeva, and is also known by the name "Monkey Temple".
Kathmandu Durbar Square is one of the three Durbar Squares of Kathmandu Valley. The Malla king Pratap Malla erected the statue of Hanuman (the Hindu god of power) in this place and it was named Hanuman Dhoka. Taleju Temple, Tribhuvan Museum, the house of Kumari (Living Goddess), Kasthamandap, the temple of Kal Bhairav along with few other temples are some places to explore.
At. 08:00 AM: After breakfast, start driving to Pokhara. (Approx. 6-8 hours of driving) On the way, you can visit the Manakamana temple by cable car. Also, you can experience river rafting on the Trishuli river.
Optional Activity: The cost of the Manakamana cable car is not included in the package (INR 670 per person for a two-way ride)
Manakamana Temple, a 10 minutes cable car ride from a station called Kurintar takes you to the temple of Goddess Manakamana who is believed to have the power to fulfil wishes. Kurintar is 104 km away from Kathmandu to Pokhara.
At. 04:30 AM: Early in the morning, visit Sarangkot, and experience the panoramic view of the Himalayas and the beautiful sunrise from the hilltop.
At. 10:00 AM: After having your breakfast at the hotel you will get a certain time for optional activities in Pokhara. If you are not interested in any activities then you will go for half-day sightseeing to David’s Fall, Gupteshwar Mahadev Cave, Seti George, Bindabasini Temple, Barahi Temple and Phewa Lake. Besides that, you can enjoy a boat ride at Phewa Lake in the evening or in the early morning.
Sarangkot is a place from where a mind-blowing view of sunrise and sunset over the mountains can be seen. One of the famous Peace Pagoda is another attraction nearby Sarangkot, lying on the top of the opposite hill. Sarangkot is the viewpoint of Pokhara valley from where one can enjoy paragliding and zip flyers.
David's falls is a fantastic waterfall in Pokhara Valley which is nearly 500 feet long and runs 100 feet below ground level. It is also known as Patale Chhango which means the underwater world. According to local old people, On 31st July 1961, a swiss couple Davi went swimming but the woman drowned in a pit. Since that day the place has been known as David's falls.
Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave, one of the longest caves in Nepal is nearly 3 km long. There are some walls dripping water inside the cave and about 40m in, we can see the statue of Lord Shiva. Gupteshwor Mahadev Cave is near David's falls.
Bindhyabasini temple is situated on the hilltop and 3000m from sea level. This religious place of Hindus living in the Pokhara region is devoted to the goddess Durga. Goddess Durga, also known as Kali Mata, is the symbol of a bloodthirsty goddess. Many people come here to worship and sacrifice animals.
Beautiful Lake Phewa is the second largest lake in Nepal. It covers an area of about 4.43 sq km with an average depth of about 8.6m, maximum water depth is 19m. The reflection of Mount Annapurna can be seen on Phewa lake. Another attraction of this lake is Barahi Temple made in pagoda style, which is an island in the middle of Phewa lake.
At. 08:00 AM: After your breakfast, proceed to Chitwan (Approx. 4-5 hours of driving). Upon reaching your resort, check in at the hotel and have your lunch.
At. 03:00 PM: Later visit for the Village tour and Sunset view from Rapti river bank. Tharu Cultural Program will perform in the evening in your resort.
At. 07:00 AM: Today after early breakfast, you will visit for a half day Elephant Safari (1.5 Hours) or Jeep Safari (3-4 Hours) and return to the hotel for lunch.
At. 03:30 PM: After lunch, visit for Canoe Ride, Jungle Walk and Elephant Breeding Center visit at Sauraha. You can experience two kinds of Crocodile and various Birds during the 45 minutes of wooden canoe ride in the Rapti river.
Chitwan National Park, located in the western part of Kathmandu is 200 km away from the hustling and busy capital city. It has been serving the world famous jungle safari in Nepal among the visitors. It is also listed on UNESCO as one of the amazing national parks of the world.. One Horned Rhino, Royal Bengal Tiger, Gharial Crocodile, Elephant Ride and Bird Watching are the popular activities to do and watch there.
At. 08:00 AM: After breakfast, drive back to Nagarkot via Kathmandu. Nagarkot is about 190 KM east from Chitwan, 30 KM from Kathmandu, takes 6-7 hours of drive.

At. 10:00 AM: After breakfast, visit Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Patan Durbar Square. You will have some free time to do shopping around the Thamel area at Evening.
Bhaktapur Durbar Square which is also known as Bhadgaon has 4 major squares: Durbar Square, Taumadhi Square, Dattatreya Square and Pottery Square. Some of the major attractions are Lu Dhoka (The Golden Gate)” which is said to be the most beautiful and richly molded specimen of its kind in the entire world, The Palace of 55 windows and Dattatraye Temple along with some other small temples.
Patan Durbar Square is 5 KM southeast of Kathmandu. Major temples are Krishna Temple, Taleju Temple and Bhimsen Temple. Some places to explore there are Patan Museum, Mahaboudha, Kumbeshwor, Keshave Naryan, Vishwanath & Chyasin Dewal and Sundari Chowk. Banglamukhi is one of the famous temples of Devi ( Goddess ) in Kathmandu. The temple of Baglamukhi is situated in Patan (Lalitpur). There are various other small temples inside the Baglamukhi temple premises. People visit this temple mainly on Thursdays as it is considered as the day of Bhagwati.
